SH1068 Hydroxy-functional Solid Silicone Resin

1. Performance and Purpose

This product is a silicone hydroxyl methyl benzene silicone intermediate, with good compatibility and high reactivity, can be mixed with acrylic acid, polyester, epoxy and participate in crosslinking curing reaction; Through the compounding or polymerization and modification  the intermediate agent can be introduced.The intermediate significantly improve the weatherability of the organic resin, especially the resistance to pulverization and cracking, endowing, with excellent light and color protection for outdoor industrial paint ,through compounding or mode of polymer modification, putting in silicone intermediate, it can significantly improve the heat resistance properties of the organic resin, for example, the introduction of 30% silicone intermediate body can promote  organic resin continuously heat resistance  to 300-350 ℃;The silicone intermediate can be sold in solid form and also can be sold directly or compounded and applied to the heat and weather resistant powder coatings.

3. Recommend Applications

1,widely used in the powder coating industry, participate in the cross-linking curing reaction of polyester, epoxy, acrylic acid, improve the heat resistance and weather resistance of the coating, and has less impact on the coating recoating than other solid silicone resin;
2,widely used in heat resistant industrial coating, generally can be added directly through the way of compounding, adding ratio is critical impact on the temperature resistance performance, the general recommendation to introduce amount ≥15% (measured by the effective solid content);   If it can be introduced by means of polymerization grafting, it can further provide more balanced performance.
3,widely used in the weather-resistant polysiloxane coating . Through the combination with organic resin, the coating is endowed with both weather resistance and salt fog resistance, which conforms to the standard of HG/T 4755-2014 polysiloxane coating.
4. Packaging and Storage
Generally 50 kg, 25 kg plastic inside lining paper barrels packaging, 5~25 ℃ in a cool and dry environment sealed storage, the relative quality keeping  life generally is for a period of 12 months from the date of production.
5. Construction Reference
When this product is used in compounding, it can be directly added or dissolved with solvent firstly, then added into the organic resin to prepare the coating; When it is used in grafting modification ,the reaction process should be tested with glass sheet test method to ensure sufficient grafting. When it is used in powder coating the method is in accordance with the general powder coating operation process.
